Newly-created Aggie Community Awards will recognize excellence across the college

At Colorado State University, teaching and research excellence are recognized with a number awards at various events throughout the year. Now, the College of Agricultural Sciences has developed its own recognition – the Aggie Community Awards – which will honor faculty and staff whose performance and activities demonstrate excellence.

The award focuses on a number of areas: customer service, behind the scenes impact, collaborator, and Aggie Pride. Details on the criteria for each category can be found on the nomination page. Nominations can be made by anyone in the college as well as faculty and staff housed at the research centers across Colorado. Nominees can be both individuals and groups and can be housed on campus or at AES research centers.

A nomination review team, initially comprised of volunteers from the CAS management team, but later to be made up of volunteers across departments, will review the nominations and pick a winner each month.

The winner will be presented the perpetual trophy, given a keep sake trophy, invited to a semi-annual winners lunch and receive their choice of special Ag Swag.
