Core Research Facilities, Statistics Consulting and Plant Growth Facilities
Several core research facilities are available on campus. Details on the facilities are available here (https://www.research.colostate.edu/cores/). There are generally fees associated with using equipment at these facilities. Most provide free consulting and training. The two facilities commonly used by students in our department are the statistical consulting service and the Plant Growth Facilities (PGF).
The stats lab (https://statlab.colostate.edu/) provides general statistical consulting to researchers from every college at the University. Consultants offer advice ranging from the planning and design of experiments to the analysis and interpretation of experimental results. There is no charge to CSU faculty, staff and graduate students for consultations. Details on location, services, and how to schedule appointments are available on the stats lab website (https://statlab.colostate.edu/).
Plant growth facilities (PGF) are limited to teaching and research functions. Details on how to request space are available here (https://agsci.colostate.edu/plantgrowthfacilities/ ). There is a fee for space and your major advisor will provide an account to pay this fee. You are responsible for caring for your plants in the PGF. Other facilities in the PGF that may be useful for you include root washing stations and a root imaging room.
