Edward A. “Eddie” Robinson was born in Denver, Colorado May 2, 1932. He is a fourth generation native of Denver; his great grandfather Louis Robinson settled in Lakewood, Colorado in 1885. Eddie attended Denver Public Schools, graduating from East High School; he then attended Colorado A&M College (now Colorado State University) graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1954. Eddie was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S Army after completing his College R.O.T.C. He served on active duty for approximately two years; the majority of his service was in Germany. He returned home in 1956, and after serving in the inactive Reserve, he received an Honorable Discharge on October 2, 1962, with the rank of 1st Lt. He then began his career in the family dairy business. Eddie spent his entire working career in the Dairy Products Processing Business. Eddie has and continues to be involved in numerous community and charitable organizations. He currently serves as a Lifetime Member and past Chair of the Denver Zoological Foundation, the Denver Metro Convention and Visitor’s Bureau (Visit Denver), and National Jewish Health Medical and Research Center. He is also a past Chair of St. Joseph Hospital Foundation. Eddie is a Director Emeritus of the Colorado Restaurant Association and past Board Member of both Metro State College of Denver Foundation and the Colorado Commission of Higher Education. Eddie also served on the Board of Central Bank Denver, and subsequently on the U.S. Bank Local Advisory (Colorado National Bank) Board. Eddie is married to Susan Robinson, and together they have a blended family of six children, and eight grandchildren. Susan and Eddie reside in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Eddie enjoys playing golf, and is a member of Cherry Hills Country Club. He was President of the club in 2003, and was also a member of Green Gables Country Club and Cherry Creek Country Club. Eddie and his brother Dick formed the present Robinson Dairy in 1975, by purchasing the assets of Robert’s Dairy for their operations in Denver. They sold the company to Dean Foods in 1999, and Eddie and his brother Dick currently are Managing Partners with their investment company, Robinson Management LLC.
