Terry is originally from Centerville, South Dakota, where he grew up on the family dairy farm. He is a 1982 graduate of South Dakota State University with a degree in Dairy Manufacturing.
After college, Terry began working at Kraft Foods in Idaho and then Wisconsin before making the move to Denver in 1988, when he began a 34-year career with Leprino Foods Company.
Prior to his retirement in 2022, Terry was the Senior Vice President of Production Technical Services. In that role, he oversaw new plant construction and engineering as well as process implementation and equipment design and installation in existing facilities. He also led the group responsible for providing technical expertise and trouble-shooting assistance to plant personnel.
During his tenure at Leprino Foods, Terry was a member of the 3-A Standards Committee where he helped to develop and update sanitary standards and best practices in the dairy industry. He was also closely involved with the development of several process and equipment patents held by Leprino Foods.
Terry and his wife Randi live in the foothills of Denver, and have three grown children along with four grandchildren.
