Audience

New and experienced state, territory or tribal pesticide compliance and enforcement program managers and inspector supervisors that work under a FIFRA Cooperative Agreement.


Course Goal

Increase knowledge of current and emerging pesticide compliance and enforcement issues to aid in maintaining strong state, tribal and territory pesticide enforcement programs. In addition, increase effective coordination and communication among agencies, and further develop leadership skills.

The major topic areas that will be covered in this course include:

  • Agency responses to COVID-19
  • Anti-microbials and disinfectants
  • Illegal pesticide sales and use
  • Leadership and management training
  • Coordination and communication among agencies
  • The use of new technologies
  • State, tribal and territory enforcement issues

Nomination and Participants

Nominations

Nominations must be submitted electronically. It is best to prepare your justification for selection before starting your nomination application. To complete the nomination process, please refer to the nomination announcement.

Nominations for the Compliance & Enforcement Management course open May 18, 2020 and close June 29, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). The PREP Team will make selections no later than July 13, 2020 based on how closely the nominees fit the target participant criteria and why the training is essential to their job responsibilities.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the PREP Team will be hosting this course online. Travel is not necessary for this course. Selected participants will receive information regarding the course adaptations and platform no later than July 13, 2020.
