We collaborate with the Cattleman’s Association<\/a> to beginning ranchers have the skills they need to be successful. Our faculty member Ryan Rhodes leads the Beef University<\/a> certification program at CSU.<\/p>\n

National Western Stock Show<\/a><\/h3>\n

There are several ways our students get to participate in the National Western Stock Show. Our Seedstock Merchandising Team is one example of how our students are optimizing their educational experience by interfacing with industry partners in a hands-on, real-world application.<\/p>\n

Seedstock Merchandising Team and Courses<\/h3>\n

We integrate three individual courses for juniors and seniors who are interested in livestock breeding and genetics, data management, event promotion, and livestock handling and care. Our seedstock students are immersed in challenging hands on experiences where they help manage the CSU herd at ARDEC and bring their animals to market at events like the Western National Stockshow.<\/p>\n
