The Colorado State University (CSU) Rodeo invites you to the 75th Skyline Stampede, April 4-6. CSU holds a significant place in the history of college rodeo as one of the early pioneers of the sport. CSU hosted one of the earliest intercollegiate rodeos and was among the first universities to establish a college rodeo program and hold organized competitions. The university was instrumental in the formation of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) in 1949 when a group of college students, including representatives from CSU, helped create the organization to standardize collegiate rodeo competition. CSU hosts the longest continuously running college rodeo in the nation, dating back to 1950.<\/p>\n
