Biography

I was born in Israel, close to Tel Aviv, and promptly started to move about the country. After spending a good chunk of my childhood in the sun-stricken desert to the south, I was excited to settle in the forested slopes of Haifa, where I completed my B.Sc. in Biochemical Engineering at the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology. An oil spill that took place shortly before I graduated reinforced my interest in environmental studies and led me to pursue a PhD in Environmental Engineering, working with Dr. Adi Radian on improving water remediation.
In Israel, agriculture and resource scarcity are inseparable from everyday life, and often from one another, too. I am thrilled to join the Borch lab to explore how treated water and biosolids can be reused with minimal risk of crop and ecosystem pollution. When I’m not doing science, I enjoy baking, walks in nature, and listening to podcasts.
