All students in the Environmental Horticulture major and most in the Horticulture major are required to complete a qualified internship and enroll in HORT 487 – Internship for academic credit as a part of their curriculum.
An internship is a form of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting. Internships give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and make connections in professional fields they are considering for career paths. Internships also give employers the opportunity to guide and evaluate talent.
In addition to the 24/7 access you have to jobs & internships listed on Handshake on the Colorado State University Career Center site, here are some resources you may find helpful in your search for the perfect internship.
