Serves as office manager and assistant to the department head. Communicates with and serves as first contact for prospective and incoming graduate students. Serves as a resource for department personnel and students. Assists in conducting faculty searches, managing events, and purchasing. Serves as the department human resource liaison and works closely with the Ag Business Center office in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

The Fiscal Officer serves the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics by providing financial management, purchase requisitions, reimbursements, journal entries, account reconciliations, report management, budget preparation and monitoring, and salary account distributions. She also serves as a pre-award liaison between the college and Sponsored Programs, assisting faculty and research staff in locating funding opportunities, guideline retrieval and interpretation, budget development and preparation.
