Research Interests:

Agricultural labor, economic productivity, agricultural business management, and applied industrial organization.  My current research focuses on U.S. agricultural workers, who offer a unique opportunity to examine many interesting economic questions. This work has direct implications for U.S. agricultural producers and can be extended to many other contexts. Many agricultural tasks have easily observed output, making these workers an ideal population to answer questions about factors that affect worker productivity. Further, U.S. agricultural workers are primarily comprised of low-income, immigrant workers, making them a relevant study population for the effects of U.S. welfare and immigration policy.
