Curriculum Vitae

Matt Woerman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at Colorado State University. His research is in environmental and natural resource economics, energy economics, and industrial organization, with a focus on three important environmental and resource challenges facing our world: the energy transition in electricity markets, groundwater use and conservation, and climate change. His recent research has examined the role of energy technologies on strategic firm behavior and market outcomes in wholesale electricity markets; how groundwater pumping costs affect farm pumping and cropping decisions; and coordination of existing carbon markets to improve environmental and economic outcomes.
