I was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where the fuel was made for the atomic bombs used in World War II and the effects of nuclear energy, TVA and coal mining were an everyday childhood experience, all of which have contributed to making me a wind energy supporter and enthusiast. I have a BS in Economics from American University in Washington D.C. (1977), a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois, Champaign – Urbana (1983) and have been in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University since 1987.
