1. Prepare your sample.

Please follow the submission preparation instructions to ensure your sample arrives safely.

Fee Price Change

As of May 12, 2022, there will be a $15 fee for insect and arthropod identification. The fee will apply for both physical and digital image samples.

The Plant Diagnostic Clinic at CSU specializes in detection of numerous plant pathogens and herbivorous insects. If you are experiencing Pine wilt (pinewood nematode) of needled evergreens, Bacterial leaf streak of corn, Bacterial ring rot, Blackleg/soft rot, Powdery scab or Black dot of potato, specialty services are available. If you have any images of your plants, please email them to plantlab@colostate.edu. Images are very helpful for us to understand what you are observing and how to best approach the problem.
