Horticulture and Landscape Architecture

Our department sits at the intersection of design, creativity, health and the natural world. We take pride in challenging our students to understand the complexities of human and community health and how to create thriving natural landscapes. Our programs ensure we get outside, get our hands dirty, and learn by doing.

Research and Engagement

We emphasize a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to our research interests and goals. Because our work is so deeply connected to the landscapes we live in, engaging community partners is essential for growing our research, and ensuring our students’ professional and educational success.
