Advanced Crop Improvement: Meeting Challenges for Food Security Short Course

The Advanced Crop Improvement course took place in October 2019 at the AfricaRice Regional Training Center in St. Louis, Senegal. Six professionals from three different countries led a group of international participants for two weeks in topics that included:  issues relating to food security, crop improvement methods and scientific communication. This course was sponsored by: The Griffin Foundation (Ft Collins, CO, USA), The Plant Genome Research Program of the US National Science Foundation, The French National Research Institute for Development (IRD), Montpellier University of Excellence (MUSE), The CGIAR Research Program on Rice and The Integrated breeding platform (IBP).
