Research Interests

I specialize in applied entomology and have extension, research, and teaching responsibilities in field crop entomology and arthropod pest management.  My research currently is focused on integrated pest management of wheat stem sawfly, Cephus cinctus, and other key pests of winter wheat with emphasis on the development of resistant cultivars and other sustainable management practices.  I am initiating a new project on alfalfa weevil management.  Much of my extension information is summarized in the High Plains Integrated Pest Management Guide as well as in fact sheets found on the Colorado State University Extension website.
