The Specialty Crops Program at CSU empowers growers and producers throughout Colorado by supplying them with science based information to inspire innovation, competitiveness and success. The program collaborates with researchers both in Colorado and nationally to address the needs of specialty crops producers.

The CSU Specialty Crops Program is supported by the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in cooperation with the Colorado Department of Agriculture.

Specialty Crops are defined by the USDA as fruits and vegetables, tree nuts, dried fruits and nursery crops (including floriculture and sod).
