The Specialty Crops Program is active on multiple research sites throughout the state of Colorado


ARDEC South (Formally known as the Horticulture Field Research Center or Hort Farm) is the primary location of specialty crops graduate research at CSU.  This site includes 8+ acres of certified organic land.

The Horticulture Center

Built in 2015, this center houses much of our specialty crops greenhouse production and research as well as the Student Education Garden (SEG).

Western Colorado Research Center

SCP has teamed up with the Western Colorado Research Center at Orchard Mesa to research hops production in Colorado.  This 1 acre research hops field was planted in fall of 2014.
