Biography
Sharon has been involved in the field of Equine Assisted Services (EAS) for more than 30 years. She joined the college in 2005 teaching an introductory course on Equine Assisted Activities. Currently, she teaches 3 classes in Equine Science on EAS and Instructor Certification. She is a PATH International Certified Instructor for Therapeutic Riding and volunteers within the EAS industry to promote best practices and safety for participants, equines and volunteers. She has served as the Chair of Standards Task Force for PATH International. She also serves as a Site Visitor for PATH Intl's Center Accreditation program as well as faculty teaching the Standards course to instructors and centers. Before her interests in EAS, Sharon was veterinarian in private practice, and a graduate of CSU.
