Biography
Jesse Kuklakis received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a major in Marketing from the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University. Shortly after graduating, Jesse moved to New York City to work at the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, where he managed content development and production for global association meeting presentations. Later, he worked as an Account Supervisor with the agency Euro RSCG Life Medical Education, executing publication plans submitted to both peer and non-peer-reviewed journals.

Jesse’s passion has always been teaching and working with students. He tutored and coached tennis in the interim between advertising and pursuing education. Once involved with education, he volunteered with the organization, City Rocks, which mentors recently emigrated immigrants to the United States. In the program, participants learn to forge relationships through indoor rock climbing and bouldering at a Brooklyn, NY facility. Over the course of six years, Jesse partnered with several students spanning across the globe to complete their HS degree and work towards college preparedness.

After receiving a Masters in Math Education at Brooklyn College, Jesse earned tenure with the New York City Department of Education in 2013. While teaching mathematics in secondary education, Jesse also worked to develop 7th and 8th grade Advisory curricula to support the social, emotional, and academic development of students. He has also collaborated with teachers and staff-developers to create an interdisciplinary “Exploration” curriculum in which students gain knowledge through experiential learning. Jesse recognizes the importance of the inclusive nature of both our individual classroom and community through our community’s work with equity.

He is very excited to work with students and staff here at CSU and looks forward to seeing his advisees graduate to pursue their various areas of interest.
