Biography
David is a research scientist in pomology at CSU's Western Colorado Research Station- Orchard Mesa, with over 9 years of experience with tree fruit production in Western Colorado. His PhD dissertation focused on multiple aspects of peach floral bud cold hardiness including the development of cold hardiness predictive models, improvement of cold hardiness measurement technologies, and analyzing metabolites and proteins that are associated with increased cold hardiness in peach. David is currently researching many practical aspects of peach and cherry orchard management as well as fertilizer and hormone applications to aid in stone fruit frost protection.
