Don Thorn works to deepen relationships statewide in support of CSU’s land-grant mission. He aims to be a connector between stakeholders, Extension professionals and scientists. Consistent with his passions, Don champions opportunities at CSU for rural students, and works alongside CSU Extension to advance community development in our rural areas of Colorado.

Don is a Colorado native who grew up in Yuma on an irrigated farm, received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from CSU, taught high school agricultural education in McClave, and has most recently served as the Executive Director of the Colorado FFA Foundation. He draws on all of these experiences to be a strong advocate for CSU, agriculture, youth, and rural Coloradans.
