Biography
My research focuses on understanding weed biology and ecology to develop effective integrated weed management (IWM) strategies. By studying the complex interactions between crops, weeds, and the environment, I aim to create practical and sustainable weed management solutions for farmers. My work emphasizes sustainable practices and bridges the gap between research and real-world application. I specialize in herbicide resistance management, precision agriculture, Harvest Weed Seed Control (HWSC), and weed seedbank management.
In addition to research, I am actively engaged in extension activities, collaborating with agricultural stakeholders to develop and deliver research-based information on weed ecology and management. Beyond research and extension, I am dedicated to knowledge sharing and mentoring the next generation of agricultural scientists. I will also begin teaching BSPM 308, Ecology and Management of Weeds, in Fall 2025, where I look forward to sharing my expertise with future agricultural professionals.
As an Associate Editor for a leading weed science journal, I contribute to shaping the field's discourse. My commitment to professional service is further demonstrated through my active involvement in various academic committees and panels, where I provide expert guidance and support to the broader scientific community.
