Biography
Dr. Jake Holley, originally from Littleton, Colorado, holds a master’s degree in horticulture from UC Davis and a PhD in horticulture from Cornell. With experience at an LED startup and a small urban greenhouse company, Jake is passionate about advancing greenhouse vegetable production and hydroponics, leveraging cutting-edge technology to optimize plant growth. At CSU Spur, he enjoys the collaborative opportunities horticulture brings, including partnerships with the Food Innovation Center, Temple Grandin Equine Center, and Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center. Jake is committed to expanding the role of locally grown produce and promoting healthy food options throughout Denver and Colorado, aligning his work with community health and sustainability goals.
