Biography
Constanza is pursuing a PhD in Animal Science with a focus on Dairy Systems under the supervision of Dr. Pablo Pinedo. Her research explores the application of precision technologies in dairy farming, with particular emphasis on disease management during the transition period and early lactation in dairy cows.
Constanza earned her Veterinary Medicine degree and Master of Science from Universidad Austral de Chile, where she specialized in the health and welfare of dairy cows during the transition period. Prior to joining Colorado State University, she served as an Assistant Professor at the College of Veterinary Sciences at Universidad Austral de Chile (2016-2017) and Universidad Católica de Temuco (2019-2021). In these roles, she coordinated courses, taught lectures, supervised practical procedures, organized field trips, and provided veterinary care through real cases in the Veterinary Clinical Hospital. Her work focused on ruminant herd medicine and health, including cattle, sheep, and goats.
