I am a graduate student in the combined Master of Science/Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. Working under Dr. Fedorka, our research aims to highlight the idea that stallion sperm is active and can respond to immunological triggers, such as inoculation with lipopolysaccharides. The aim is to discover exactly how these sperm respond to immune threats and how that response changes their mobility and ability to successfully fertilize an egg.
