Mark N. Sirangelo is currently the founder and CEO of QuanStar, LLC., a business advisory and investment company that supports corporations and private equity firms. He currently is a member of the NASA Aerospace Panel and an advisor to NASA’s leadership. Most recently, he was the head of Sierra Nevada Corporation’s Space Systems. SNC’s Space Systems is one of the country’s top space builders having led or participated in more than 400 space missions, including over 50 planetary missions. He is the founder and chairman of eSpace, the Center for Space Entrepreneurship, a nonprofit that supports the start-up and growth of entrepreneurial technology companies.
Within Colorado government, Dr. Sirangelo has served as the chief innovation officer of the State, chairman of the Colorado Innovation Network (COIN), and currently is the State’s appointee to the Colorado Energy Research Collaboratory.
Dr. Sirangelo has been recognized with numerous corporate and personal awards. These include being inducted into the NASA/Space Foundation’s Technology Hall of Fame, being named Manufacturer Builder of the Year by ColoradoBiz magazine, The Best Place to Work by the Denver Business Journal, Inc. magazine’s top 200 companies, and the World’s Top 10 Innovative Space Companies by Fast Company.
Dr. Sirangelo has a multi-faceted personal background including working to make the world a safer place for children as a long-term board member of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which has resolved more than 100,000 missing children cases to date. He is a long-term licensed pilot and has had a successful creative artist. He holds Bachelor of Science, M.B.A., and Doctorate degrees and has served his country proudly as a U.S. Army officer.
