Agricultural Biology Department Head

The Department of Agricultural Biology seeks an engaged, innovative, and visionary Department Head to catalyze new initiatives and collaborations, identify strategic priorities, and provide leadership in research, scholarship, education, and engagement. The Department has four program areas: Genomics and Molecular Biology, Ecology and Biodiversity, Biology and Management of Invasive Species, and Integrated Pest Management. Opportunities exist for the successful candidate to continue an active role in research, teaching and/or engagement. The exact position appointment is negotiable within the range of 70-90% for leadership/administration and 10-30% in research, teaching, and/or engagement.

About the College of Agricultural Sciences

The College of Agricultural Sciences is home to five academic departments and the Colorado Agricultural Experiment Station. We investigate potential improvements to food production and agribusiness at 10 Research Centers throughout Colorado.

We are meeting global challenges in food safety, food security, wellness and economic prosperity through the sustainable use of natural resources. We support the University’s foundational land-grant mission by integrating intentional discovery, inclusive learning and collaborative engagement. Anyone is welcome to take a seat at the table to learn, grow, discover, and make a positive impact on the world together.
