Trees in the West event at CSU Spur tackles climate resilience through urban forestry

This year’s Trees in the West event will bring together residents, scientists, policymakers and forestry professionals to explore how trees can help communities adapt to a warming climate. The event will take place on Tuesday, May 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at CSU Spur, and is hosted by Colorado State University’s Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture.

CSU hosts National Collegiate Landscape Design Competition, student team takes third

Colorado State University’s Landscape Design and Contracting program recently hosted more than 1,500 students on campus for the 49th Annual National Collegiate Landscape Design Competition. This year marked the fifth time CSU has hosted the event in Fort Collins, and CSU’s student team placed third for the second consecutive year.

Landscape architecture alumnus to share two decades of experience as part of Sept. 23rd Paulson Lecture

The Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture will host Heath Mizer ‘99, on Sept. 23 for the third annual Merlyn J. Paulson Lecture Series. Mizer, a senior landscape architect for Civitas, will share experiences from his 20-year career in the profession. The event will take place at 6 p.m. in the Nutrien Agricultural Sciences Building room 135.
