International Agriculture
About Us and Our Team
The International Agriculture Team is made up of conveners, storytellers, and innovators who build platforms and collaborate to support international agriculture across CSU. With local, national, and international partners, the team addresses global challenges and empowers the next generation of leaders.
At the core of the mission are two pivotal programs: North American Agricultural Advisory Network (NAAAN) and the Colorado GROW Youth Institute.
Colorado GROW Youth Institute: Nurturing Tomorrow’s Ag Leaders
The Colorado GROW Youth Institute equips and inspires Colorado educators and high school students through a problem-based learning curriculum addressing challenges that impact food security, here at home and around the world. In partnership with the World Food Prize Foundation, the Colorado GROW Youth Institute is empowering a new generation of leaders to find solutions to global food security challenges.
NAAAN: Bridging Rural Advisory Services in North America
The North American Agricultural Advisory Network (NAAAN) bridges agricultural advisory services across North America. Hosted by the CSU System, the NAAAN represents a partnership platform uniting Canada, Mexico, and the United States to build capacity around shared agricultural challenges in pests, diseases, and outbreaks; responses to natural disasters; and workforce development. The NAAAN shares best practices and facilitates learning from global expertise.
Agricultural Partnerships: Connecting Colorado and the World
The International Agriculture team works to further the work of CSU’s land grant mission by connecting Colorado agriculture with the world. By catalyzing, cultivating, and convening, the team works to elevate partnerships and opportunities locally and across the world.
