Caitlin is a Colorado native who grew up outside Colorado Springs and attended CU Boulder for an undergraduate degree in Linguistics. After college, she was hired by a government-contracted company in Spain. She thought Spain would be her forever home, but after several years Colorado called her to come back. She earned her Masters at Colorado State University studying post-harvest processing techniques in small batch chocolate and a PhD studying sourdough microbiomes. Fermented foods, and chocolate specifically, remain her most significant interests. She lives with her partner, Teagan, and her hobbies are reading, watercolors, and being very bad at frisbee golf.
