Pesticides and Water Quality

Audience

New and experienced managers and staff with responsibility for pesticide water quality activities at state, tribal, and territory agencies with a FIFRA Cooperative Agreement. Those with future responsibility for pesticide water quality activities should explain on the nomination form how the course will be beneficial to their development.

 

Course Goals

Enhance capacity for pesticide water quality programs by exploring state and federal requirements for protecting and monitoring surface and ground water. Address current needs and challenges that align with SFIREG Environmental Quality Workgroup initiatives and priorities.

  • Communication and coordination within the pesticide program and among other agencies
  • Risk communication
  • Emerging water quality issues including PFAS
