Borch lab at SETAC

Last week, graduate students Huma Tariq Malik and Kerry Miller presented at the annual SETAC (Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry) conference in Portland, OR, representing some of the Borch Lab’s recent work with oil and gas produced water. Huma gave an enlightening talk highlighting her recent project “Evaluation of Soil and Plant Health in Crops Irrigated with Oil Field Produced Water in the Permian Basin”, which will also be the subject of an upcoming publication. Kerry presented a poster titled “Development of Non-targeted Analysis Method for Risk Assessment of Produced Water Using High Resolution Mass Spectrometry”, connected to an upcoming literature review on this topic from the Borch lab.
