SeedImages

USDA APHIS PPQ Science and Technology’s Identification Technology Program (ITP) is pleased to announce the release of SeedImages, a new online identification resource developed in collaboration with Colorado State University. SeedImages includes all the data and photos from the former Seedimages.com, with updated taxonomy, additional photos, and free public access.

This web site supports accurate identification of crop, weed, and noxious weed seeds found in trade and regulatory contexts. SeedImages covers over 1,400 species, including all seeds required for analyst certification exams and all U.S. state listed noxious weed seeds. Designed for survey specialists, diagnosticians, and operational personnel, the resource provides practical support for field and laboratory identification.
