CSU Horticulture Center

Built in 2015, the Colorado State University Horticulture Center is a state-of-the-art research facility located just south of campus. The facility is composed of 2,157 sq ft of greenhouses and 6,200 sq ft of classrooms, offices and laboratories. It also includes just over 6 acres of land for use as outdoor research plots, plant trials and research gardens. 

Research

The CSU Horticulture Center supports cutting-edge plant research with advanced LED lighting, greenhouse facilities, and outdoor research plots. Studies focus on optimizing plant growth, sustainability, and food production. The center strengthens CSU’s role as a leader in horticultural innovation, enhancing research opportunities for faculty, students, and industry partners.

Outreach and Engagement

Through collaborations with CSU Extension, industry leaders, and the local community, the Horticulture Center fosters educational and outreach programs. It supports initiatives like the Spring and Fall Plant Sales, providing hands-on learning experiences, internships, and cooperative programs that connect CSU students with real-world horticultural practices.
