Mission
To support and promote research, teaching and outreach in plant sciences across CSU, by providing state-of-the-art facilities and services to meet tomorrow’s grand challenges quickly and collaboratively.
Goals
The CSU Plant Growth Facility (PGF) provides reliable, eAicient, and well-maintained environments that support high-quality plant research and education. By managing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, environmental controls, and facility needs, PGF enables faculty, staA, and students to focus on research, teaching, and discovery.
Facilities & Space
The CSU Plant Growth Facilities (PGF) provides specialized facilities and equipment to support plant research and teaching, including greenhouses, growth chambers, cold rooms, soil and plant processing rooms, and other research equipment.
PGF primarily serves CSU faculty, staff, students, and affiliated researchers and organizations. Limited space may also be available to external researchers and industry partners.

Planning ahead is encouraged: Growth chamber availability is limited, so researchers should contact PGF as early as possible to discuss their needs and potential placement on a waiting list.
Tours & Visitor Information
Plant Growth Facility tours are available as staff time permits and are free of charge. Tours take approximately one hour and should be requested at least two weeks in advance.
The Conservatory is open to the public for self-guided visits Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
PGF primarily supports research involving agricultural crops such as wheat, rice, and corn rather than ornamental crops or specialty vegetables. For research involving these crops, please contact the Horticulture Center in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture.
